Digital signage is an answer. Plain and Simple.
Digital signage is a form of out-of-home advertising that most often appears on some type of digital display - most often an LED, LCD or Plasma screen. Digital signage, allows for the simultaneous display of scrolling data feeds, text, stills, power-point slides and animated or full-motion video messages.
Whatever the content, the purpose of digital signage is the same: It’s trying to communicate a message to the viewer. It’s not to be confused with a fancy way of watching television however. It educates, sells a product or service, or conveys an idea to a specifically targeted audience.
A digital signage system generally consists of a number of components. The display (usually an LCD or Plasma screen) and some sort of media player that stores the content and “pushes” it to the display. Then there’s the software - the set of instructions that governs the entire system.
The network - the final component - is optional, but highly recommended for multiple displays. This allows for the management of the displays from any computer linked to the internet. Signage content can be scheduled, replaced, deleted or updated at the click of a mouse. read more
